History and identity
The Institute for Corporate Management and Entrepreneurship was established in the summer semester of 2010 at the suggestion of the Faculty Board of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Economics. The Institute, which is headed by Prof. Dr. Alfred Gutschelhofer, sees itself as an application and practice-oriented institution and as such also covers the relevant courses in the business administration curriculum. The Institute's teaching and research activities focus primarily on the areas of business start-ups and corporate management. In addition to the analysis and teaching of theoretical principles (management and leadership, management philosophies, environmental and competitive analyses, corporate strategies, business plans, etc.), the focus is also on the practical application of these aspects. In this context, cooperation with external partner organizations is also an important focus of the institute's activities.
